I have gone back two times so far to keep it the way I want and will keep going to them. About 6 months ago I decided to ye my dark brown hair red. I had friend help because I've been dying it black for years and I know the red wouldn't take unless we lightened my hair firs. My friend did a good job but it was still spotty. I contacted Dani and she told me to come into Smith a and Mendoza for a consultation. Once she saw my hair she knew I needed it fixed and gave me an incredible quote. Not only did she fix the tone and shade of my hair but it's more of what I wanted all these years. I have gone back two times so far to keep it the way I want and will keep going to them. I decided to cut my hair and do new hair styes ad I trust them completely. In addition to Dani, the two owners Jessica and Jesse are truly amazing. They are always so welcoming and now how to lift my spirits. I sometimes go there feeling down but when I leave from visiting Smith and Mendoza I feel so happy and better about myself. They make you delicious coffee or tea and sometimes there are even baked goods. They are always there to talk and chat but understand when you need your quiet moments. Now that I have found them I will never go anywhere in Miami ever ever again. I recommend this place if you are looking for a place you can trust to get the hair style you want and one you would love. Jessica and Jesse are masters at their profession. Jesse is a creative and expert colorist. His recommendations for me lead to compliments from complete strangers. Jessica is an expert stylist for all types. For my very short hair, she does a superb technical cut. Both were trained to Sassoon's exacting techniques and were talented professionals at Sassoon salons before opening their beautiful salon in Coral Gables. The atmosphere is welcoming, friendly, and relaxing.

Jessica is an artist. It's difficult to find someone that can cut short, curly hair and she does it so well. She listens to what you want and makes sure you are happy before you leave. I walk out of the salon feeling like a new person and very happy with the cut and the maintenance afterwards. As a mom of two small children, I need something easy, that looks good with minimal effort and I still get compliments for months after the cut. Also, you couldn't ask for a nicer stylist. Her and Jesse are both amazing people who make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk through the door!
